MOBILE ICE-RESISTANT DRILLING RIG WITH TRANSFORMED FOUNDATION.

Drilling rigs, which are not ice-resistant or their ice-resistance is limited, are used nowadays for drilling on the Arctic shelf. It leads to their seasonal operation. In connection with the abovementioned, CDB "Monolit" has carried out the draft project of a mobile ice-resistant drilling rig, which can be operated in severe ice conditions.

A distinctive feature of such platform is that it can be transformed, i.e. its geometrical form can be changed depending on the operational mode.  Transformation of the platform provides for reducing of the draft during the towage and for the required geometrical form in the operational mode with the aim of better resistance to the loads.

The platform during its towage has the draft about 4,0 m, the water depth at the site of its operation is from 7,5 to 25,0 m.
